Adopt a rescue dog in the metaverse.

Fosterverse – Pedigree India Metaverse experience brought furry friends to the metaverse in an effort to end real-world pet homelessness.

How did they do it?

1️⃣ Landowners in Decentraland could choose a dog from an online pet adoption website and place a 3D avatar of the dog on their land.

2️⃣ Passersby in Decentraland interacted with the dog avatar, finding out its name, breed, and adoption status as well as ways to support dogs in need across the country.

3️⃣ Then, any user could choose to adopt any dog they’ve met through Fosterverse in real life via the same pet adoption website.

And Voila!

This was not the first time Pedigree played with the creative current.

Last year, the company launched Rescue Doodles – an AI-powered adoption query program that matched children’s drawings with a nearby adoptable dog.

What an incredible way to contribute to society by leveraging the metaverse.
