Title: Development of Graffiti Art Contents in Metaverse Space using Roblox VR
Abstract: The paper explores the potential of metaverse technology to mitigate the challenges of graffiti in urban communities. Roblox, an online gaming platform, is used as an example of a metaverse platform that allows users to create their own games, socialize, and interact with other players. The Slater-Usoh-Steed (SUS) survey is used as a standardized tool for evaluating a user’s presence in a virtual environment. The survey results show that using VR controllers to draw and erase graffiti in a virtual environment increases the user’s presence in the environment. The paper concludes that by leveraging virtual reality experiences, creating virtual models of urban spaces, and using interactive and educational experiences, VR among metaverse technologies can promote artistic expression, community engagement, and urban revitalization while mitigating the negative impacts of graffiti. The metaverse platform offers a unique opportunity to address the social problems of graffiti by providing a virtual space for artists to express themselves without damaging property, while also creating immersive experiences that engage and inspire communities.
