1. The Ministry of Economy of the #UAE has announced a new headquarters in the Metaverse, which can be visited by anyone around the world.

Cointelegraph has given a report about this. This is the first time in the world that a government has opened its virtual office.

According to #GulfNews, it was inaugurated by UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri on 28 September during the Dubai Metaverse Assembly.

He said before making the virtual headquarters live, “This is not a proof of concept, this is our third address.” The headquarters will have multiple stories, each with a different role.

2. Visitors will be able to purchase a ticket from which the “Customer Happiness Center Employee” will enter and engage with the metaverse.

As Cointelegraph reports, the new headquarters will complement the ministry’s two existing offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, allowing it to make digital services a larger part of its operations in response to the demands of leadership in the UAE.

Cointelegraph further noted that visitors to the virtual headquarters will be able to sign legally required documents, eliminating the need for signatories to travel to one of their actual locations.

3. The headquarters also have an auditorium for virtual conferences and other events, as well as meeting rooms where users can share a screen.

The announcement comes after the Dubai government launched its Metaverse strategy on 18 July. The plan aims to create 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030 and support the government’s ambition to increase the number of blockchain enterprises to five times the current number.

Significantly, the metaverse is a virtual world where you enter virtually but you will feel that you are physically present in that place.

Simply put, the metaverse is a world where you have a different identity. Apart from roaming around in this virtual world, you can also party with friends.

4. Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland on Thursday said it has received an order to supply 1,400 school buses in the UAE, making it the company’s largest order ever in that country.

The buses will be supplied from the company’s manufacturing unit in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

The total fleet deal for the buses manufactured by the Gulf Cooperation Council has been done in the UAE by Ashok Leyland’s distribution partners, Swaidan Trading – Al Naboodah Group.
