King Sejong Institute to offer Korean language classes in the Metaverse

문체부, 높아진 K-컬쳐 인기에 힘입어 ‘메타버스 세종학당’ 정식 운영

Korean language classes are coming to the Metaverse.
South Korea’s Culture Ministry and the King Sejong Institute Foundation announced on Tuesday that the classes will be offered on the King Sejong Institute metaverse website starting in April.
The King Sejong Institute promotes learning about Korean culture and language at its offices around the world.
The website for the online classes is at sejong-dot-metauniverse-dot-net.
Sign-up has not yet begun, and the Institute has not announced how much the classes will cost, if anything.
The Culture Ministry said there’s been growing demand for Korean language classes because of the popularity of Korean culture.
For in-person classes, as of last September, it said there were more than 10-thousand people on the waiting list.
