Do you know the real creator of the metaverse? I mean, do you know the real creator of the concept of the metaverse?
Neal Stephenson is the guy who invented the term metaverse. Back in 1992, Stephenson wrote his novel Snow Crash, in which the term “metaverse” was used for the first time. The word metaverse is made up of a combination of the words “meta” and “universe.”
Do you know the funniest part of it all? Not only did Stephenson predict the metaverse 30 years ago, but he also predicted hyperinflation and the pandemic. In his book, Neal described a real world that is very similar to ours. In the novel, the United States is ravaged by hyperinflation sometime in the early 21st century. There is inequality and a virus that is wreaking havoc on society.
