My Take On The Metaverse

Simply put I think the metaverse is a really dumb idea which has turned into a fashion statement for people who have money to burn. Bragging about some new virtual object that’s been purchased doesn’t put food on the table or pay the rent/mortgage. How useful will the metaverse be when the power goes out in the real world for a few hours? If the metaverse were to become popular and people actually make a living operating in it how horrible it would be for someone to get their metaverse life hacked/destroyed in a matter of seconds. Facebook/meta get hacked all the time. No thanks!
