The term “Metaverse” is a combination of the Greek words “meta,” which means “beyond, which transcends,” and “universe.” It refers to a networked virtual environment that combines virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), which are made possible by the use of visual, auditory, and tactile devices, to allow users to interact, communicate, and live virtual experiences in a fully immersive manner.
