In conclusion, the idea of the metaverse sounds absurd and makes no sense, yet it has caught the interest of big businesses, business people, and now some of the most well-known names in fashion.
So let’s look at five of the most well-known fashion companies in the world that are active in the metaverse.
First, no discussion of high fashion would be complete without mentioning Louis Vuitton, who recently marked their 200th anniversary with a smartphone game that offers Louis V NFT rewards.
The famed Italian fashion brand of Gucci, Louis Vuitton’s biggest rival, offers a digital clothing line in the so-called metaverse game Sandbox. Additionally, the well-known computer game Roadblox features a Gucci town.
In third place is the Spanish luxury brand Balenciaga, which will soon open an avatar fashion store in collaboration with Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta platforms.
The fourth brand is one of America’s favorites, Nike, which has its own Nikeland in Roblox and recently teamed up with a well-known NFT company to launch a line of virtual sneakers.
Fast fashion retailer Forever 21 comes in at number five. The store just disclosed a collaboration with Mattel to introduce a Barbie digital clothing collection.
