VR Metaverse by World Economic Forum – Was Zuckerberg Ahead Of The Game?

Interesting articles on World Economic Forum concerning the future push and implementation of the Metaverse. Despite losing bullions of dollars, Meta’s Zuckerberg kept pressing on the VR world – was he aware or even encouraged to try to get people on the Metaverse by the WEF? So much money has been devoted to the development of this new immerse world – some suggest it will even go as far as pushing new economies – like Decentraland’s real estate boom, or immersive shopping onlince via the VR setup.
Davos WEF will discuss two methods of implementation of the metaverse economies. One for industrial usage and the other for consumer usage. Both research approaches will be discussed at the Davos WEF meeting – which will bring together major economic players, even including some governmental agencies across the globe. JP Morgan, Mastercard, of course Meta / Zuckerberg, even Interpol, and NIH Genome agency, will come together to discuss different ideas and approaches for a new economic and influential angles that can be taken in the Metaverse. Despite being so new and clunky, the Metaverse is a big favorite of WEF as a means to achieve many goals in dealing with equity, climate, sustainability, and economic influence across the world. This all goes to show the power of the supposedly next iteration of the internet – that being the Metaverse.
Metaverse was a term first coined in 1992 in a novel called Snow Crash – used to describe a dystopian world, where citizens used a digital avatar to escape the harsh realities. It is bizarre to use such a term with its negative connotations. But regardless, it is being pushed and deemed a new income stream for many companies.
Furthermore, there are talks of implementing blockchain tech as a means of digital ID and or verification – as new stores and economies can grow inside the Metaverse. We shall see what happens.
