The metaverse is on the horizon, many claim it to be the next evolution of the internet. How will that come about? What technology is lacking in order to enable the metaverse potential to come about? We have speculated in the past that the content of the metaverse itself must be interoperable. Herman Narula, CEO of Improbable and Msquared has recently stated on twitter that the tools and frameworks they are developing for their “network of metaverses” platform will be interoperable by standard. Also that the creators will have the ability to leverage their tools by using common technology and languages, but still have the ability to dive deeper to the “engine” level to produce content. What will this result in for the creator economy of the metaverse and will this unlock the multi-trillion dollar ecosystem many predict the metaverse to be?
